Stay Hydrated At Work

Do you ever feel sluggish, lacking energy or tired at work? You're not alone. Whilst there can be many contributing factors to feeling this way, one of the primary factors can be dehydration.

Water is your body's principal chemical component and makes up around 60% of your body weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells, and provides a moist environment for your ear, nose and throat tissues.

We lose water through breathing, perspiration, urine and bowel movements. We therefore must replenish our bodies' water supplies through consuming beverages and foods that contain water.

Knowing how much water you should drink varies from person to person, depending on your health, how active you are and where you live. Living in the sunny Emirate of Dubai, the third element means we may need to drink more than the average person.

Although no single formula or amount suits everyone, the average recommended daily intake is around 2 litres.

It is never too early to start hydrating yourself to the correct levels, so if you're not drinking enough water and struggling at work as a result - go grab yourself a glass & rehydrate!
